Background: When Gail was just a freshmen in college a man took an interest in her. Gail did not return that interest. He got mad and made her his by using his power to make her want him. They had a relationship for awhile which caused Gail to quit school. Soon she was pregnant. His power stopped working on her and Gail left him. She had her daughter and went back to school. During that time she wrote her first book. Many followed as her daughter grew into being a shy child. During a vacation to the beach Laurie suddenly became really popular and Gail saw it for what it was. They returned home and it wasn't long after that Gail recieved a call from Xavier. They made arraignments for Laurie to go to Xavier's and for her to work there. When Xavier's was destroyed that didn't happen until Hank called her.
After learning the school was a cover for the X-Men Gail and Laurie remained. Since most of the X-Men were wanted individuals Gail became the face of the school. She would do the interviews and when someone would need to meet someone from the school she would go.

Background: Rhys has a degree in history and met his wife during college. Much to the disagreance with of their parents they married while in school. After graduation Rhys worked as a High School history teacher. The year Evy was born Rhys got a job teaching at a college. He worked there until last year when cut backs caused him to be laid off.

Background: Beverly grew up in a house hold that was very big on segagration. Now her belifes are much different than her parents. She only belives that you shouldn't be with what you aren't. In college Beverly got a degree in music. When Rhys got the college job, Beverly managed to get a music teaching job at a nearby High School. She was also laid off.

Background: Andrew was a well liked English teacher. Everyone in his community liked him, but than the whispering started. Aparently a blood test at school outed his teen children as mutants. Well at least carriers of the gene. Fearing for their lives Andrew packed up what he could in the night and fled with his family. They stayed on the road for months until a chance encounter with an elderly man gave them a new chance at life. He gave them a weird looking cell phone and told them to dial the number in it and someone called Phantom Watcher could help them. The man than left them without another word.

Background: Nate never knew his wife was a mutant. He had just been discharged from the military and working as a math teacher when he learned. His wife was arrested at work for not registering. Nate came home to find the MRD trying to take his teen children for possibly being gene carriers. Nate faught them off long enough to escape with his kids. They were almost caughter again, but a scarred woman saved them by killing their trackers. She gave them a strange cell phone and told him that Phantom Watcher could help them.

Background: Patrick always loved art. Everything he learned was self taught until he went to college. There he learned the different forms. Fresh out of college he began looking for teaching jobs and put an app in at Xavier's.
